Rishabh Pant has created history by equaling Virender Sehwag’s long-standing record of 90 sixes in Test cricket for India. The dynamic wicket-keeper batter reached this milestone on Day 2 of the 4th Test against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.
This achievement becomes even more special when we consider Pant’s incredible journey back from a devastating car accident in December 2022. After months of recovery and rehabilitation, his return to international cricket has been remarkable. In addition, Pant was injured on the 1st day of the 4th Test. His right foot has sustained a fracture and doctors have advised him rest for six weeks. Despite that he came out to bat on the second day of the 4th Test and reached the incredible milestone.
