This defeat marked Australia Women’s biggest loss in terms of runs in ODI cricket history. In this match, Smriti Mandhana and her partner Pratika Rawal created history by registering a massive world record. The duo became the first-ever pair in women’s ODI cricket history to score more than 1000 runs in a single calendar year. Earlier, the record for most runs in a year was held by Australia’s Belinda Clark and Lisa Keightley, who achieved the feat in 2000.
