After a long wait of 17 years, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally clinched their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title, and with that victory came a massive surge in the franchise’s brand value. According to a recent report, RCB is now the most valuable team in the IPL.
As per the investment bank Houlihan Lokey’s latest report, RCB’s brand value has reached $269 million (approximately ₹2,240 crore), surpassing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI). The report also stated that the overall value of the BCCI-run IPL has increased by 13.8%, reaching $3.90 billion. Meanwhile, the valuation of the league as a business has risen by 12.9% to $18.5 billion.

According to the report, Punjab Kings recorded the highest growth in 2025 with a 39.6% increase in brand value. The franchise is now valued at $141 million. Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings finished as runners-up in IPL 2025.
The report highlights that RCB’s sharp rise in brand value was primarily due to their first-ever IPL title win. Additionally, the team’s strong engagement with fans on social media, increased commercial deals and partnerships, and higher revenue from television and digital rights contributed significantly to this growth.
RCB’s maiden title win has had a profound impact not just on the sporting front but also from a business perspective. The team now leads the pack in brand value, clearly indicating how on-field success directly translates into financial success.
