    India won the fifth and final Test match of the series against England by 6 runs, thereby levelling the series 2-2. In this intense clash, India set a target of 374 runs for England. However, the English side was bowled out for just 367 runs. Young Indian players stepped up and delivered brilliant performances, with Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, and Washington Sundar standing out.

    India to Play Test Series Against West Indies Next

    After wrapping up the England series, Team India will now host the West Indies for a two-match Test series in October 2025. The series will be played on home soil, and the selectors are likely to retain players who performed well on the England tour.

    First Test Starts on October 2

    The first Test between India and West Indies will be played from 2nd to 6th October 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The second Test is scheduled from 10th to 14th October at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Both matches will begin at 9:30 AM IST, with the toss taking place half an hour before the start.

    Indian Players Shine in England

    In the recently concluded England series, Shubman Gill emerged as the highest run-scorer for India. He scored a total of 754 runs in five Tests, including four centuries. KL Rahul followed with 532 runs and two centuries. On the bowling front, Mohammed Siraj was the standout performer, claiming 23 wickets — the most in the series. Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna also impressed, taking 14 wickets each.
