India and England are playing the 5th Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 at The Oval Cricket Ground in London. The first day of the match saw only 64 overs being bowled because frequent showers disrupted play. India managed to reach 204/6 on the back of a fighting half-century by Karun Nair. The overcast conditions on day one provided a lot of assistance to England’s fast bowlers, and similar conditions are expected on day two. Let’s take a look at the complete weather forecast for Day 2 at The Oval.
Day 2 Weather Forecast for India vs England 5th Test at The Oval
Talking about the weather forecast for the second day of the last Test match of the series being played at The Oval, AccuWeather suggests that at the start of play at 11 AM local time, there is only about a 5% chance of rain. Until lunch, the chances of rain will remain very low. However, between 2 PM and 4 PM, the chances of rain increase to around 50%, so the second session might be affected by interruptions. During the final session, the chances of rain will again be quite low. As for the temperature on Day 2, it is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius.
Washington Sundar and Karun Nair will resume India’s innings on Day 2. They have a huge responsibility on their shoulders to take the team close to 300 runs. India will be very happy if they manage to reach around this score, as the green-top pitch at The Oval is not easy to bat on. With Chris Woakes already ruled out of the Test due to a shoulder injury, England will be a bowler short from Day 2. Nair and Sundar could look to capitalise on England’s fourth bowling option.
