Washington Sundar scored 27 runs off 90 balls. Anshul Kamboj was dismissed without scoring. Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who had retired hurt on Day 1, returned to bat on Day 2 and scored 54 runs before being dismissed. He showed great resilience despite being advised to rest for six weeks. Jofra Archer took the final wicket of Jasprit Bumrah to end India’s innings. Ben Stokes took five wickets for England, while Jofra Archer claimed three.
