Cricket South Africa (CSA) has officially confirmed the venues for the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup. The tournament will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. South Africa will host 44 matches, while the remaining 10 matches will be played in Namibia and Zimbabwe.
The 50-over tournament will take place across several host cities in South Africa, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, East London, and Paarl.
The announcement came along with the formation of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the event, which will be chaired by former South African cabinet minister Trevor Manuel as the independent chairperson. In an official statement, CSA Board Chairperson Pholetsi Moseki said,
“CSA’s goal is to deliver a global and inspiring event that reflects South Africa’s diverse, inclusive, and united spirit. It will provide players, fans, and partners with a unique and unforgettable experience.”
The 2027 ODI World Cup will be the 14th edition of the tournament and is scheduled to be held in October and November 2027. This will be the second time after 2003 that South Africa and Zimbabwe are jointly hosting the event, while Namibia will host World Cup matches for the first time.
