Bangladesh announced their 16-member squad for the Asia Cup 2025 on Friday. Wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan and 26-year-old Saif Hassan have made their return to the team. Litton Das will lead the Bangladesh side in the upcoming Asia Cup. Before the tournament, Bangladesh will also play a three-match T20 International series against the Netherlands.
Nurul Hasan Sohan has been included in the Bangladesh T20I squad after almost three years. The 31-year-old last played a T20I during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Bangladesh have been placed in Group B alongside Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka. Under Litton Das’s captaincy, Bangladesh secured their first-ever T20 series win against Sri Lanka at home in July. Later, they also defeated Pakistan in a T20I series, which is why Litton Das will continue to lead the team in this major subcontinental tournament.
Among the senior players, experienced pacers Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed have been included in the squad. Meanwhile, Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Tanvir Islam, and Hasan Mahmud have been named as standby players for the upcoming T20I matches.
