There were major changes in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Points Table on Tuesday, 7 October, as matches continued in India and Sri Lanka. Team India lost its No. 1 position, while Australia also suffered a setback. Interestingly, despite losing, Bangladesh managed to stay in the top four. The bottom four teams, however, remained unchanged. The team that was previously third has now jumped to the top, the No. 1 team has dropped to second, and the No. 2 team has slipped to third.

On Tuesday, the 8th league match of the Women’s World Cup 2025 was played in Guwahati between Bangladesh and England. England won the match by 4 wickets, and with this victory, they climbed to the No. 1 spot on the points table. Meanwhile, India, which had been at the top with 4 points, dropped to second place, as England also have 4 points, but their net run rate is slightly better than India’s. Australia, on the other hand, slipped from second to third place with 3 points in their account.

Bangladesh have 2 points, but their net run rate is better than South Africa’s, which keeps them in fourth place. South Africa are fifth with 2 points. Sri Lanka are in sixth place with 1 point, while New Zealand and Pakistan are yet to open their accounts. New Zealand are seventh, and Pakistan are eighth on the table. Pakistan face a tough challenge today as they take on Australia, and another loss could make it extremely difficult for them to reach the top four.

Here’s the latest points table after the match on 7 October 2025:
