Since the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced its squad for the Asia Cup 2025, the selectors’ decisions have been under constant criticism. Pakistani all-rounder Aamir Jamal has now expressed his frustration over not being selected for the tournament. In his statement, Aamir made it clear that he wants an explanation from the PCB and the selectors as to why he was not included in the Asia Cup squad.
Aamir Jamal demands clarity
After being excluded from Pakistan’s squad for the Asia Cup 2025, Aamir Jamal spoke to the local media and demanded transparency from the selectors. He said,
“So far, I have had no discussion with anyone regarding future plans. I want complete clarity on this matter. If the selectors are not considering me for any format, they should honestly tell me the reason behind it. I was only out due to an injury, but I have now fully recovered and proved my fitness. I am bowling at full rhythm and I am 100% fit.”
It is worth noting that apart from leaving Aamir out of the Asia Cup squad, the PCB has also not included him in any category of the central contracts list.
