Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has broken his silence on the news of his son Arjun Tendulkar’s engagement and clarified the truth about his relationship with Saaniya Chandhok. Recently, several reports claimed that Arjun and Saaniya got engaged in a private ceremony. However, neither family had confirmed the news earlier. Now, Sachin has finally confirmed it.
Saaniya is the Granddaughter of Renowned Businessman Ravi Ghai
Saaniya is the granddaughter of well-known Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. The Ghai family is highly recognised in the hospitality and food industry and owns the InterContinental Hotel and the famous ice cream brand Brooklyn Creamery. According to reports, Arjun and Saaniya’s engagement took place in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family members from both sides.

Sachin Tendulkar recently hosted an “Ask Me Anything” session on his social media platform, where a fan asked him, “Has Arjun really gotten engaged?” Sachin replied, “Yes, it’s true, and we are all very excited for this new chapter in his life.”
Arjun Tendulkar’s Cricket Career
Arjun Tendulkar, 25, is a left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder who represents Goa in domestic cricket and plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He began his domestic career with Mumbai in the 2020/21 season, making his T20 debut against Haryana. Before that, he represented Mumbai at the junior level and also earned a place in India’s Under-19 squad.
In the 2022/23 domestic season, Arjun moved to Goa, where he made his first-class and List A debuts. In red-ball cricket, he has played 17 matches, scoring 532 runs, including one century and two half-centuries, and has taken 37 wickets, which include one five-wicket haul and two four-wicket hauls. In List A cricket for Goa, he has played 17 matches, scoring 76 runs in nine innings.
In the IPL, Arjun has represented Mumbai Indians in five matches, delivering 73 balls and taking three wickets at an average of 38.00. His best bowling figure stands at 1 wicket for 9 runs. He has maintained an economy rate of 9.36 and a strike rate of 24.3.
