Galle International Stadium Pitch Report — SL vs BAN 1st Test
Sri Lankan pitches are heaven for spin bowlers and the surface at Galle International Stadium is not going to be any different. There will be a lot of spin on offer for both the teams and therefore the team which bats first will have a slight advantage. The turn will get more trickier and sharper to handle as the match progresses. The team which bats on day 1 will have to face the least hardships against the spin bowlers.
A total of 48 Test matches have been played at this venue so far. In those matches, the teams which batted first have won on 26 occassions, while the teams batting second have tasted victory on 16 occassions. Only 4 matches have been drawn at the Galle International Stadium. Hence, one can definitely expect a result from this match as well.
